A life with Morgan |

Robert's Threewheeler |

After the Three Wheeler's revival in 2011, I (Robert) decided to go for it. This also meant that after about thirty years, I got to move on three wheels again. Several magazines have described what it feels like to drive this thing, but everyone who has driven a Three Wheeler knows that you probably can't describe the feeling. It's rough, it's tough, it's loud, it's uncomfortable - it's a Morgan as much as it can be. And despite all restrictions the weather might impose on the driver, it's just like living in Northern Germany: there is no bad weather, just the wrong clothes. MMC tells people that the START-button is taken from a fighter jet; well, I talked to a Luftwaffe Eurofighter pilot, and he confirmed that it really does look very much alike! Over the time I have had several changes made on my M3W, such as the luggage carrier, the new steering wheel, stainless roll hoops, polished cowl, a new rectifier, a new (Centa) compensator, the third bevel box... To sum it up, after two years of both terrific fun and way too many repairs, I realized this Morgan does not (by far) reach the reliability of the classic 4-wheeled cars. So, being very disappointed, I decided to sell it. |
